April 12 - 18, 2020: Luke 8:41-56

Refresh: Pray for a faith that takes away your fears.

Read: Luke 8:41-56

Reflect: Since the pandemic reached our shores the news has reported many stories of fear, worry, illness, and sorrow. But we do not need a pandemic to feel these emotions; they are part of the human experience.

Luke 8 describes a woman at her wits end. Yet, her faith takes her in a new direction. Her faith gives her courage to reach out for Jesus .

Jesus always calls us to Himself. When there is no answer for our anxiety and fear, He says, “Come to Me.”

The last part of verse 48 says, “Go in peace, and may the blessing of God be with you .” We are promised peace and hope if we come into His presence.

Respond: Ask Jesus for His presence in your life and an opportunity to share hope with those who who are afraid and anxious.
